the other side of love

HERE'S a peak at Australian Friend of Mine's coming collection. I'm in love with the dotted Chloe skirt and dress! You can pre-order the collection by emailing info@nausz.com

GAH!
mint truffle

THE LATEST ELLE, mint truffle tea and my course literature (Vintage by Marie Birde, and i though studying was meant to be boring!) I've come down with some sort of fever, and incredible neck pain. At first this morning i thought it was just muscle pain from my saturday morning workout but nope! So i took the afternoon off in order to recouperate, not to shabby. And my boy is coming home from Edinburgh this evening, hopefully with a nice old single malt bottle of whiskey.
knuckle buster

HERE'S MY NEW ELEPHANT knuckle buster ring. I love it!
amsterdam

MORNING! Already on my second cup of coffee. But hey did i tell you guys im going to amsterdam in two weeks? Well I am, and it'll be my first time, so i need tips! Where to eat, drink, shop? Anything and everything! I think i got all the museums under control.
snake

SOMEONE asked about what was around my neck last night. This golden snake necklace/belt/whatever you want it to be. It has a magnet on the back of the snake head so you can pretty much wear it however you want. 12 dollares from E-bay ofcourse!
oh heaven is a place on earth

SHEER TANK from Sonia Rykiel pour H&M, push up corset bra from the same place, and sheer ivory blouse bought second hand. Wine and daquries with Emma at Himlen. Perfect evening, now some oven roasted vegetables and then bed! Hubby is in Edinburgh, it's gonna be a lonely night, or atleast a stone cold bed.
heaven
possibly the best money ever spent

HAPPY! I am so glad i decided to do Helene Falks Stylistutbildning (fashion stylist course). I think this will be the best money i've ever spent. I was as you can see very nervous prior to this evening. It was everything and so much more i hoped it to be! Can't wait till next thursday!

ACNE FALL 2010 - Preview

ACNE previewed their Fall 2010 collection last night in London. I got a hold of some pics, a little sneak. Before the actual Show has even begun at Enskilda Galleriet right here in Stockholm (it's starting in 25 minutes). SO what conclutions can we draw from this? Definantly stick to your prints, whether it be on tights or dresses, pastels and nudes will still me on the map in October, the trench is hanging on after spring and your leather jacket is as always a keeper! What ya'll think?
two tone

BOUGHT this Chanel eyeglass case today when i fixed my glasses. C'est chic! But what i really wanted to show was my two tone nails. Half hot pink half baby pink. Could be a hit no? Something different atleast. Bought something even better today though, but ill tell ya bout that later, now i'm heading out in the blizzard to the gym!
celine celine

LIKE EVERYONE else in this slushy city (Stockholm) I'm extremely sick of the weather. Slippery snow, preventing heels, brown slush ruining your boots and leaking into your uggs, and giant icicles hanging from the roof tops, that could fall and crack you're head open any second, YES we're constantly on alert.
But whilst most people can't wait for spring and summer I find myself gazing mostly at the pre-fall collections at Style.com. Maybe it's since i just had my little peice of sun and vacation? Or maybe i've lived with summer for so long (11 years in a country that has 2 seasons, hot & rainy season, both result in at least 30°C, all year round) that I'm more drawn to fall. Anyone look how fantastic Celine's Pre Fall is, I want it all!
crap

MY DAY has been just as the above. CRAP. So in an atempt to cheer myself up i pulled some faces infront of the camera. So so huh? So mission number two, looking for airplane tickets. Hopefully it'll be a weekend with AMM in AMsterdam. (Oh yes i can rhyme too!) Any Amsterdam tips? It's my first time. Oh i got an awesome new ring to show you guys latero. But first din din and paradise hotel final! Oh yes how i've waited for this day, i'm hooked, and in a sad way i don't want it to end. Ching ching!
corsage

I THOUGHT i was past the leather and studs but seeing this reminds me i really want some leather shorts. And how cute isn't it with the corsage?
pic; Jak&Jil ofcourse
@berns

UNFORTUNANTLEY I'm missing most of SFW this week (three days) due to alot of office work. I did however manage to pop by Karl Anderssons opening at Berns Hotel this eveing. The photo exhibition shows a bunch of portrait shots of artists that have played at Berns, inclucing Lily Allen and Ike Turner. And on thursday i start my stylist course, can't wait! Anyone other blogers joining me at Helene Falks stylist course?
where the wild things are

MY FAVOURITE MOVIE of 2009. If you haven't seen it, please do. It's beautiful.

I'M WEARING vintage orange maxi godess dress found on E-bay, Wedges from Michael Kors, coconut bracelt and vintage glasses.
something new

FOUND these nude pink gladiators at Platinum in Bangkok. 150 baht (35kr). They scream Burberry Prorsum Spring/Summer 2010, and thats why i bought them, even though im sick of the gladiator trend, the beige pink did it for me. Cute huh? I'll probably pair them with white cropped suit pants and my new sheer nude Sonia Rykiel top, which i'll show you's later. Now back to hubby's birthday bash!
stripes by rykiel

SONIA RYKIEL POUR H&M. I wasn't one of them who qued or even bothered to visit the store that day, but when i saw that parts of the lingerie collection were on sale online the past week i went for it. I do find this set ardorable and for 79:90 KR for the the two, it was a given! I have so much shopping to still show you guys from Thailand and even some thrift store finds i did before the trip. Should I show you guys today? Is there anyone one out there who's interested?

birthday boy

IT'S MY MARCUS's birthday today. So far he's been woken up with a blueberry muffin and Mimosa (champagne & o.j.). And as for gifts, well its sort of a trivia game. I don't wanna reveal to much but ill let you guys know when he figures it out himself! So lets wish my hub a happy birthday shall we?
tight ass

'

COVER UP. Yesterday we had -11° in Stockholm. I however did not bother thinking of this when i got dressed for work in nylons and a skirt, and so i froze my ass off getting to work. So had to run in to buy some pants, and ended up with these jeans from H&M. The model is Sqin Fit and they cost 399Sek. I didn't just come out of there with pants on, but i'll show you the rest latero!
ebay favourites #1

1. Vintage Chanel watch from French E-bay. Buy Now 720 Euro.

Here you have two! I love the watch. And my tip to you guys, don't just do American e-bay, French e-bay is a real treasure case when it comes to french brands! Sound good?
the row pre-fall 2010

MARY KATE & ASHLEYS OLSEN label The Row launched their website yesterday. We havent heard much from the brand since their memorable video when the brand launched 2006. The main focus seems to have been on sister line Elizabeth & James. But now with the launch of the website the twins reveal sneaks from both Womens and Mens Pre-Fall 2010 collections as well as a news section that promises a behind the scenes peek from their presentation at NY Fashion week. And soon to come, a webshop! Above, my favourites from Womens Pre-Fall 2010, very wearable and I'm especially loving the red maxi skirt, which surprisingly DOES'NT scream christmas, as you though a red maxi skirt would.
indochine

ATTRAZIONE INDOCHINE, Italian Marie Claire February 2010. Mathilde Frachon Photographed by David Bellemére. Beautiful stuff, love the use of the classic british india style, this is exactly what i wanna look like spring 2010.
vogue-á-porter

VERY stylish from Vogue Paris February issue. Loving the headscarfs, maybe something to copy straight of? My hair could use some coverage on a day like today (aka BAD HAIR DAY!)

YESTERDAY'S. Grey top, Gina Tricot, Tights; Zara, Chunky Chain; Topshop, Leopard Socks, Wedge Heels; Michael Kors.

the 25 most stylish men in the world

Your options include Russell Brand, Pharell Williams, Robert Pattinson, Ed westwick and a little unexpectantly CNN reporter Anderson Cooper. Even though my heart skips an extra beat for Depp i think i would have to put my vote on Mr. André Benjamin (Andre 3000 of the Outkast) for his constant reinventions of style and his spontaneous approach.
(P.S. I've had requests for more male style on the blog, here you go Johan!)
something new

STOPPED by Gina Tricot on my lunch today and picked up this casual piece! 249 silver coins and its yours! Perfect with black tights, ankle boots and a brown leather jacket in spring. Oh yes! The pic I stole from my favourite fashionista.

you can't hurry spring

CAN'T hardly wait for spring. I wanna wear beige nude colors and pastells. Chloé and Stella do it best!
fantasia : prada lookbook

PRADA's lookbook for spring/summer 2010. Im digging it. Especially the abstract in the photo's and the little hint of surrealism. And not to mention the crystal mesh skirt and tank? Which we can see Daria Werbowy sporting on the February issue of Vogue Paris. Now does anyone know the photographer behind these shots? I can't seem to find the info.

I WANT a Christopher Ross belt so badly! They seems incredibly hard to get a hold of on E-bay however. And ofcourse i would prefer the elephant one. But Jane Aldriges (sea of shoes) fox belt ain't to shabby either ey?

MONDAY morning. I still got the jetlag, and i'm actually liking it! We looked at a fantastic apartment yesterday, its so hard to make your mind up though, i just love the house we live in now! But we need something bigger for sure! Yesterdays apartment had 2 bedrooms, the smaller one could therefore be converted to my closet! Now coffee!

I MISS HOME!
ce week-end

IT'S 6:14 AM on a saturday, and i'm up and awake, already on my second cup of coffee. Now you'd think i just got home from an awesome after party but nope its just the jetlag. Quite cozy actually being awake when its all dark out. And its the weekend! Plans include:
* Dalí Dalí Exhibition at the modern museum, its the last weekend to see it and last time we tried there were too many fellow museum goers with the same plan in mind on that rainy sunday, so we didnt come further than the book store they have there.
* We're looking at a 3 bedroom apartement on sunday, yep back in the hunt once again!
* Gym time! I didnt work out at our gym back home in Thailand a single time the whole month i was there. But then again with all the walks on the beach, splashing around in the water, and beach racket ball i must have still burned some calories! Anyways its time for a sweet reunion with my world class.
* Start fixing the invitations to my 25th birthday bash at Berns. Yep im turning the big 2-5!
* And finally, me and hubby sent a very important/fun/exciting/crazy/nerve wrecking email last night, and it'd be THIS awesome if we got a reply!
*

hotel life

LIFE is good at The Davis- Bangkoks first boutique hotel! Bubbel bath, chardonnay, room service. I'm not complaining. Today will end in a night of mayhem however, party night with my canadian homegirl is long overdue! See you's at Khao Sarn for Buckets!
Bangkok Next!

TO THE AIRPORT now, next stop Bangkok! I'm gonna miss our house especially my bed down here but hey big fluffy hotel beds and hotel breakfast ain't that bad either, plus i heard we got a suite!
closing in on spring

SPRING INSPIRATION! W Mag styled by Craig McDean. I'm so glad we're leaving the dark, studded trash behind for nudes, pastels, romance and sheer materials! Which reminds me i still havent shown you guys the latest addition to my wardrobe. Will have to be later, now im gonna catch the last sunset before i hit the flight to my favourite city tomorrow morning! (Yes, Bangkok i'm on my way!)
eat your beans!

EVENTUALLY i think everyone needs a break from Thai food. If you're looking for fantastic food when in Phuket make sure to try Mom Tri's Kitchen. And incase you still want thai food, they're pretty freakin' awesome at that too! Try the Kobe beef.

tropic thunder

LIVEBLOGING from our livingroom. The monsoon rains seem to have come early this year. I think the beach is out of the question today. What a contrast compared to yesterday huh? I heard that it was -22°C in Stockholm yesterday, is that true? Brrr. I guess i shouldn't complain over some rain. This is actually quite cozy.
backstage

Socks in your heels is the shit! Burberry Prorsum, my favourite from s/s 10, the sheer materials and drapings. Note to self: Have to find the perfect trench for spring.
vacation

ITS hard to find the time (and unfortunantly the will) to blog when you're on vacation, and coming up on the last week, im switching computer time for fun in the sun, splashing in the waves and cocktail hour at the beach. Here's a photobomb from the past few days.

hello twenty ten

HAPPY 2010! We started our day at another beach, for variety. And actually ended the night (or morning) the same way at the beach! Inbetween all that we had friends and family at the house where we celebrated that my grandpa would have turned 100, and ate fantastik italien food catered from Capannina's (possibly the best italien in thailand). We watched the sky fill up with khom lays (lanterns) when the clock struck midnight and then walked down to the reggae bar at the beach where we danced till the sun was about to peak through the horizon. A perfect way to end the year!

wat arun

REMEMBER when i bought this? Well at the same place i found this brooch which is a copy of the Arun Temple (wat means temple in thai, hence wat arun) located next to the Chao Praya River in Bangkok. How nice? It's got sentimental value since i spent 11 years of my life in that city. Can't wait to wear it pinned on my blazer och trenchcoat this coming spring!
twinkle twinkle

B-FRIEND came down to the house two days ago and he came bearing gifts! Amongst other things this white/marine striped sparkle sweater á la Balmain! Perfection with my dark blue cutoffs and bare feet in the sand! Alright i'll stop teasing! The top is from VILA.
today through my lens

Morning swim in the pool, did some laps.

had morning coffee with some chocolate (the new Marabou caramelized almonds and sea salt! In stores in February)

Played with my kitten. Ain't she a beauty?

Got a pedicure.

Had a banana colada! Yummy!

And am now enjoying the breeze through our bedroom window, whilst my hubby is fast asleep next to me! Yes he landed this afternoon! About bloody time too! Now im gonna try to shake some life into him and see if we can have a beer in the sala thai while watching the sun set over the horizon.
Sonia Rykiel pour H&M part deux

HERE you have it. Part two of the collaboration between Sonia Rykiel for H&M. And it's very Rykiel. I'm not a huge fan, however there are some key peices I like. The hot pink blazer is adorable, and i love the brooches on it, which are unlikely to be included. And the yellow and white striped sweater with the giant bow. Cute cute cute! But my favourite thing has to be the black rhinestone covered basker. Would love to meet spring with that on my head.
What do you guys think? Any favourites? Will you be queing up when it hits the stores in February?
Enjoy the view

MY new camera rocks!
and to all a good night

MERRY CHRISTMAS! I've had a great christmas day and a wonderful christmas eve. It's 11:30pm here and time for bed. I got the new Canon G11 from Santa, and I'm super excited! Me and brownie (my teddy) wish you all a happy christmas and i hope you get to spend it with the people whom you love and care for the most. Love ♥
inspiration

THIS pretty Lady makes me wanna dye my hair fire orange, and stay out of the sun completly so i can be as gorgeous pearly pale. May be kind of hard to keep away from the sunlight over here. Note to self; Buy striped nylons and midnight blue highwaisted slacks.
in my suitcase

From Left to Right; African tunic from e-bay (barely visible), black blouse with shoulder pads from BikBok, hot pink blouse secondhand, jade green see through blouse also secondhand, sequined green cardigan from One of a Kind vintage in London, teal blue bodycon dress from H&M divided exclusive and black open back dress from ACNE. And up top there we have my missoni inspired 70's bikini from a market in bangkok, and my maroccan red scarf from St. Kilda in Melbourne.
mimi

THIS is Mimi. My new kitten. We skipped on the name Selma. Since Zuma (our housekeeper/maid) will be the one spending the most time with this little one, since we're not here all year around, we let her pick the name. So everyone say hello to Mimi! Ain't she a sweetheart?
leisurely sunday

THE majority of my day has been spent at home by the pool catching up on my reading of Shantaram (yes i still havent gotten through it!), except for a lunch stop at Mom Tri's Boathouse. Don't miss the 3 course set lunch if you're there. Today mine included pomelo & beetroot salad with prawns, rock lobster with tomato salsa, and cinnomon pears with greek yogurht ice cream!
todays detail

CHUNKY red coral necklace, E-bay find and leopard print oversize tee from Lindex.
hooked on hinges

QUESTIONS. These platform heels leave me asking alot of questions. First and foremost, the label says DONNA KAREN. DKNY. For real? I would have rather guessed Mr. Wang or even Nicholas Kirkwood. And the hinge effect? How fantastic? I love the look of it. And am intruiged to find out whether this makes the walking process easier? I definantly have to take a closer look at these.
elephant #2

YES i have a sort of slight obsession with elephants. Bought this brooch today (as well as little something else, that ill show ya'll latero). I adore the fact that its so traditionally Thai, its dressed as one of the Royal elephants on parade with the headpiece and the blanket overthough. And i got it for next to nothing. And boy does it sparkle!
bam bam

ON todays agenda. A change of tires at the lokal mechanic. One of those things that had to be done. Whilst waiting i played around with this cutey pie. Her name is Bam.
the good life

I CAME across this clinic today, that i've heard alot of good things about, and their prices are incredible compared to back in Sweden. I'm thinking of having laser done on some scars, since i had chicken pox at a very late age (14!), my scars are still visible. Has anyone had this done? My mum is thinking of having thermage, which is a type of face lift done without the surgery i.e. knifes (!). Any recommendations or tips? I'm new to this, so if anyone has had anything done, please leave a comment.
They also offer hair removal for next to nothing. I feel as if this vacation will end up a beautatious one, today started with a facial, who knows whats next?
heat wave

SHULULU! Its hot today im telling ya! I've spent the day indoors at a spa getting a facial, not too bad. Now im off to dinner with my mother in law, who also happens to be in town! My dress is from H&M. And for those of you who've been asking about my new shoes, they're from TOPSHOP Boutique! Ching ching!
kitten!
the waiting game

YESTERDAY they showed up. I've waited and waited. And they were worth waiting for. These have to be the most gorgeous shoes i own! They beat my Louboutins. Now they're in the suitcase, warming up for Bangkok.
thailand tomorrow

ABSENCE. Not been much action in here tonight, im busy packing and hanging with hubby. I'm flying down to our other home tomorrow. 'home away from home' (pictures above) and darl is joing me in 10 days so it's cuddle time now!
sheer

LAST day of work for this year, well last day at the office anyway! I bought this blouse along with the elephant brosch at the thrift store yesterday. And i love it! It unfortunantly doesnt have any buttons but i dont mind that much, its perfect as a jacket, especially now that im heading down to warmer degrees! The material is silky and its a bit sheer. Perfection! And the best part it cost 45 SEK! I'll show you better pics later. Ciao!
elephant

GOT myself a new brosch at the thrift store today. A golden elephant! Perfect since i'm heading home to country of elephants on wednesday.
i need more shoes

SUNDAY morning inspiration coming to you fram Nasty Gal vinatge. Now laundry time!
gingerbread & taffy

THIS day has been spent in the spirit of christmas baking. Gingerbread, taffy (knäck), almond filled saffronbuns (lussbullar med mandelmassa) and a gingerbread house! If you're planning to make taffy however, be warned, it took us 3.5 hours to get it right and the recipes we found said between 12-40minutes on the stove, which to me seems impossible! Oh and i hade the best mulled wine (glögg) today, cloudberry flavoured! It was excellent!
Oh and not to forget my baby Oscar lost his 3rd tooth today, as you can see in picture number one. Photo evidence for the tooth fairy!
my baby...

my baby bianca was lucia at daycare today! Cutey pie
The sartorialist on tv?

THE SARTORIALIST, Scott Shuman, soon to hit a tv screen near you? Everyone's favourite dad turned streetstyle photographer, may soon be launching his own tv show as well as possibly a clothing line. But Schulman says he won't be fronting neither, as its about the people infront of his famous camera. 'But I finally realized that the success of the blog, is the fact that it's not about me it's about the people that I talk to and the people I choose to talk to and shoot and all that ... So I would be in the show but definitely not the focus just like there's one picture of me in this book.' Said Shuman recently when he was interviewed by the Pedestrian while promoting his book, The Satorialist.
He continues 'There's a lot of negotiating going on right now ... I was offered a lot of shows before, and I don't think the companies were right that were asking me. But this company I think is right. It's a very well known Director and all, they're a company. So I've become well known not by promoting myself but by talking and shooting other people. So maybe there's a TV show maybe there's an accessories collection that might lead into a full clothing collection."

if you could....

If you could be anywhere right now where would that be?: Sweating it out at Club 808 down RCA with all my homies back home in Bangkok.
If it turned out one of those 'Nigerian' emails were for real and you'd really inherited 5 million US: Jeez louise! I'd buy me and hubby that apartment 3 floors up in our building that we've been eyeing out for the past 6 months. Take a year of work and do THIS, and invest the rest.
If you could only watch one movie over and over for the rest of your life which would it be?: WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE! Havent seen it yet but i think it's bound to be the movie of the century!
If you could only read one book over and over forever: The Kite Runner, or The Damage Done, and the latter one i've already been through about 20 times so trust me it's good!
If you could be any guy for a day who would that be: Barney from How I Met Your Mother, no doubt! I'd live his life any day!
If you could only eat one dish for the rest of your life: Ok alot of 'rest of your life questions here' but it'd be Som Tum (thai papaya salad) no doubt, good for the tummy and you're digestion.
And lastly if you could only listen to one artist for the rest of your life: Magic System, those tunes get my hips moving, but the again i love my neighbour Melissa Horn, so i pick both, and hey i made these questions so i make the rules! Two it is!
cocktail

MAMA's got a brand new cocktail ring, thanks to LuShae Jewelry! I love it, 14k gold, huge rocks and it just screams glamour!
the block

American beauty Emily DiDonato is on the cover and the inside spread of The Block's fall/winter issue. Behind the camera is Guy Aroch and the styling is credit to James Worthington Demolet. I love the mix of playfulness, innocence and suttle hint of a 1980's Falcon Crest theme. Any thoughts?
eight

DID an hour and a half at the gym after work! Kotos to me! 8 Days left now baby!
Barney's have started their sales at 40% now and there's alot of nice Louboutins to get your hands on. Leow Leow! (hurry hurry in thai) Im on a tight budget so ill be passing this time around.
knits

OVERSIZED, warm, knitted, cozy, fuzzy and furry. Yep knits save our freezing scandinavian winters. These two above are from Modekungen.se Lots of nice stuff there, but seriously whats with the name? FashionKing, not so fashion.
french polynesia

WE'RE watching a travel show, been stuck on the travel channel all day, no zapping going on here. Now it's about a French Polynesian boy named Mel Gibson. How random. We've been in bed all day, fantastic, need days like that too. Started with coffee in bed, moved on to McD in bed and now mulled wine in bed. Yep the sunday theme is bed.

I want that dress! Its so witch-like and mysterious, love the shape, and the cutout moon makes the whole damn thing. Maybe something i can get tailor made back home NEXT WEEK! Yep only 9 days to go, its crazy bananas! And i woke up to the best news via facebook this morning, haha, but thats the way it works when your mateys live abroad! Today is gonna be a good day. And im cleaning out my closet, you guys interested?
laundry

MORNING! Kicking this day off with black coffee, left over lebanese food and the laundry room. Later gym, walk, possibly some christmas shopping and a good dinner. And as for the zipper rings above, im seriously considering making that a little DIY project for today, how hard could it be?
