REMEMBER when i bought this? Well at the same place i found this brooch which is a copy of the Arun Temple (wat means temple in thai, hence wat arun) located next to the Chao Praya River in Bangkok. How nice? It's got sentimental value since i spent 11 years of my life in that city. Can't wait to wear it pinned on my blazer och trenchcoat this coming spring!

And am now enjoying the breeze through our bedroom window, whilst my hubby is fast asleep next to me! Yes he landed this afternoon! About bloody time too! Now im gonna try to shake some life into him and see if we can have a beer in the sala thai while watching the sun set over the horizon.
Sonia Rykiel pour H&M part deux
HERE you have it. Part two of the collaboration between Sonia Rykiel for H&M. And it's very Rykiel. I'm not a huge fan, however there are some key peices I like. The hot pink blazer is adorable, and i love the brooches on it, which are unlikely to be included. And the yellow and white striped sweater with the giant bow. Cute cute cute! But my favourite thing has to be the black rhinestone covered basker. Would love to meet spring with that on my head.
What do you guys think? Any favourites? Will you be queing up when it hits the stores in February?

MERRY CHRISTMAS! I've had a great christmas day and a wonderful christmas eve. It's 11:30pm here and time for bed. I got the new Canon G11 from Santa, and I'm super excited! THIS is Mimi. My new kitten. We skipped on the name Selma. Since Zuma (our housekeeper/maid) will be the one spending the most time with this little one, since we're not here all year around, we let her pick the name. So everyone say hello to Mimi! Ain't she a sweetheart?

THE majority of my day has been spent at home by the pool catching up on my reading of Shantaram (yes i still havent gotten through it!), except for a lunch stop at Mom Tri's Boathouse. Don't miss the 3 course set lunch if you're there. Today mine included pomelo & beetroot salad with prawns, rock lobster with tomato salsa, and cinnomon pears with greek yogurht ice cream!

YES i have a sort of slight obsession with elephants. Bought this brooch today (as well as little something else, that ill show ya'll latero). I adore the fact that its so traditionally Thai, its dressed as one of the Royal elephants on parade with the headpiece and the blanket overthough. And i got it for next to nothing. And boy does it sparkle!

ON todays agenda. A change of tires at the lokal mechanic. One of those things that had to be done. Whilst waiting i played around with this cutey pie. Her name is Bam.

I CAME across this clinic today, that i've heard alot of good things about, and their prices are incredible compared to back in Sweden. I'm thinking of having laser done on some scars, since i had chicken pox at a very late age (14!), my scars are still visible. Has anyone had this done? My mum is thinking of having thermage, which is a type of face lift done without the surgery i.e. knifes (!). Any recommendations or tips? I'm new to this, so if anyone has had anything done, please leave a comment.
They also offer hair removal for next to nothing. I feel as if this vacation will end up a beautatious one, today started with a facial, who knows whats next?

SHULULU! Its hot today im telling ya! I've spent the day indoors at a spa getting a facial, not too bad. Now im off to dinner with my mother in law, who also happens to be in town! My dress is from H&M. And for those of you who've been asking about my new shoes, they're from TOPSHOP Boutique! Ching ching!

YESTERDAY they showed up. I've waited and waited. And they were worth waiting for. These have to be the most gorgeous shoes i own! They beat my Louboutins. Now they're in the suitcase, warming up for Bangkok.

LAST day of work for this year, well last day at the office anyway! I bought this blouse along with the elephant brosch at the thrift store yesterday. And i love it! It unfortunantly doesnt have any buttons but i dont mind that much, its perfect as a jacket, especially now that im heading down to warmer degrees! The material is silky and its a bit sheer. Perfection! And the best part it cost 45 SEK! I'll show you better pics later. Ciao!

gingerbread & taffy
THIS day has been spent in the spirit of christmas baking. Gingerbread, taffy (knäck), almond filled saffronbuns (lussbullar med mandelmassa) and a gingerbread house! If you're planning to make taffy however, be warned, it took us 3.5 hours to get it right and the recipes we found said between 12-40minutes on the stove, which to me seems impossible! Oh and i hade the best mulled wine (glögg) today, cloudberry flavoured! It was excellent!
Oh and not to forget my baby Oscar lost his 3rd tooth today, as you can see in picture number one. Photo evidence for the tooth fairy!

THE SARTORIALIST, Scott Shuman, soon to hit a tv screen near you? Everyone's favourite dad turned streetstyle photographer, may soon be launching his own tv show as well as possibly a clothing line. But Schulman says he won't be fronting neither, as its about the people infront of his famous camera. 'But I finally realized that the success of the blog, is the fact that it's not about me it's about the people that I talk to and the people I choose to talk to and shoot and all that ... So I would be in the show but definitely not the focus just like there's one picture of me in this book.' Said Shuman recently when he was interviewed by the Pedestrian while promoting his book, The Satorialist.
He continues 'There's a lot of negotiating going on right now ... I was offered a lot of shows before, and I don't think the companies were right that were asking me. But this company I think is right. It's a very well known Director and all, they're a company. So I've become well known not by promoting myself but by talking and shooting other people. So maybe there's a TV show maybe there's an accessories collection that might lead into a full clothing collection."

If you could be anywhere right now where would that be?: Sweating it out at Club 808 down RCA with all my homies back home in Bangkok.
If it turned out one of those 'Nigerian' emails were for real and you'd really inherited 5 million US: Jeez louise! I'd buy me and hubby that apartment 3 floors up in our building that we've been eyeing out for the past 6 months. Take a year of work and do THIS, and invest the rest.
If you could only watch one movie over and over for the rest of your life which would it be?: WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE! Havent seen it yet but i think it's bound to be the movie of the century!
If you could only read one book over and over forever: The Kite Runner, or The Damage Done, and the latter one i've already been through about 20 times so trust me it's good!
If you could be any guy for a day who would that be: Barney from How I Met Your Mother, no doubt! I'd live his life any day!
If you could only eat one dish for the rest of your life: Ok alot of 'rest of your life questions here' but it'd be Som Tum (thai papaya salad) no doubt, good for the tummy and you're digestion.
And lastly if you could only listen to one artist for the rest of your life: Magic System, those tunes get my hips moving, but the again i love my neighbour Melissa Horn, so i pick both, and hey i made these questions so i make the rules! Two it is!

LAST night was smashing! The salon looks fab and its bound to be a hit! I'm so happy for my boys Henric and JP! After mingeling Hubby and I went to Italiano for a late dinner, their pasta alla´arogosta is delicious!

Last night the collaboration between Sonia Rykiel and H&M was revealed to fashionistas and celebrities such as Kate Bosworth, Eva Herzigova and Nadja Auermann in a magical world in Paris. One of the city’s most famous buildings, The Grand Palais, was transformed into a Parisian fantasy land for 2,000 specially invited guests. Amongst them was designer Jean Paul Gaultier, and photographer Ellen von Unwerth. Before arriving at the piece the resistance, a recreation of Saint Germain, the spiritual home of Sonia Rykiel, guests had to walk through and enchanted forest.
Seated under a specially made Eiffel Tower, guests were given a preview of the Sonia Rykiel pour H&M lingerie collection, which debuts in around 1500 H&M stores worldwide from December 5, as well as the knitwear collection for women and girls, which arrives in around 200 stores on February 20, 2010.

AFTER a crappy day at work, nothing has gone my way, i stopped by the thrift store to see what was on offer. And Voíla! Ten minutes later i came out with these three beauties for 215KR total. Not bad for a tuesday evening!
And to top it off i came home to find my apartement immensly clean. We're talking clinically clean! I now realized why i need a housekeeper, and why life in Bangkok was so great with a maid! And hopefully when hubby gets home he'll be just as pleased, and convinced that she needs to come once a month. I can see my reflection in the bathroom tiles!
