thailand tomorrow

ABSENCE. Not been much action in here tonight, im busy packing and hanging with hubby.  I'm flying down to our other home tomorrow.  'home away from home'  (pictures above) and darl is joing me in 10 days so it's cuddle time now!

Around the world

I OFTEN get questions regarding Thailand and even Asia in general.  Those of you who've been following me for the past few years known that there is one thing that im more passionate about than fashion and that is travelling.  I tend not to write too many tips when it comes to Thailand and yes that is a bit due to selfish reasons, i have places that i'd like to keep to myself, it's exposed enough as it is.

Someone asked me the other day to name my favourite places in Thailand, Malaysia and Vietnam.  And sure thing i can do that.  A little mini guide so to say. Lets start with Thailand.

Going to Thailand and want to stear away from the tourists or say atleast the Swedes?  I would say go to Koh Samed, this is is where the thais go on long weekend breaks, and the expats spend their song kran holidays.  Only 3 hours away from Bangkok.  Its cheap, relaxed, and quite thai.  The reason i mention Koh Samed is ofcourse since i presume you want sun, sand and sea, and my number one tip for Thailand (besides the ones i keep for myself) is of course Bangkok. And tada! Koh Samed is close!

Bangkok is a city you either hate or love, though i can't see how you could possibly feel anything other than adoration.  New York has nothing on Krung Thep when it comes to the city that never sleeps.  You need to give yourself time when in the city, and like the rest of Thailand the key word is PATIENCE! Please skip eating at your hotel restaurant and instead plump your butt down at a street stall, this is where you will sample some of the best cuisine in your life time.  This is real thai food. For the best food street, head down to Sukhumvit soi 38 after 3-4 o'clock in the afternoon until 5 am and it will be bustering with food stalls, from noodles to shaved ice cream.

p.s.  Do you guys like these little guides? Do you wanna see more of this?  Next time Malaysia.

khun thai

SOON.
28 days.

confirmed

BEST wake up call when you're sick.  Thai Airways!  My flight is confirmed.  December 16th- January 12th, one month of loveliness.  Not long now until sun, sand, ocean and i get to strut around in my Melissa Odabash bikini and rayban avaitors all day long.  I suddenly don't feel as sick anymore.... ;)

half way there

OK so after all my ranting on about missing home, im finally half way there.  My ticket back to sthlm got confirmed today, january 12th.  I'm still on the waiting list for the flight there.  December 16th or 23rd.  Which ever works for Thai Airways.  Can't believe its so fully booked!   Anyways, im half way home, now i just have to get there.  Later gaters!

random siamese escapades

So I'm missing this alot, you see above, it's what i call home, it is my home, my other home away from home.  Unfortunantly i waited until the worst possible time to get a flight.  So i've put myself on the waiting list.  16th of december.  For a month.  Hopefully.  If the thai airways bosses or on my side, or rather the swineflu breaks into an epidemic or the world economy falls apart once more, and people are forced to cancel their holiday plans to make room for me on that TG960 flight.

46 hours

We're back home after 46 hours in Warsaw.  Fantastic City!  Fabulouse hotel, check the view!  Good food, lots of beer, polish vodka, jacuzzi, comfy hotel bed, with a pillow menu (you could order the type of pillow you prefer, awesomness!).  And i finally bought something that i've been wanting for a long long time.  Can you guess what?  Shoes from a certain someone.  Can you guess who?

Bedtime. Bags are packed. Lunchtime tomorrow i'll be enjoying the streets of Warsawa.  Afternoon tomorrow i'll be splattering in the pool on the 43rd floor over looking the city.  Dinnertime tomorrow i'll hopefully be eating something Polish?.  And nighttime tomorrow i'll be breaking my moves at an old school eastern european disco.  And by 2am i'll probably have crashed in the big fluffy hotel bed with 500 count egyptian sheets.  Well im hopeful anyway!  Weekend breaks are the shit!  Latero.

fiera di sinigallia

Today in pictures.  Markets, long walks, graffiti, cappuchino, delicious bread, wine, sunshine, beautiful buildings, design shops, tourists, stylish italians, not so stylish italians and the color purple with big P.

I'm wearing dress H&M Trend, bag from Chanel, converse and ray ban avaitors.

Fabulous wine!

Great secondhand shopping!  (Hubby, i want a vintage typewriter for my 25th, or anyone else who feels like i deserve a present!)

I (♥ heart ♥) Milano!

That was my day in short acceptable summary, now some wine, then apertivo by the canal!  Ciao Bella!

pack your bags

This ain't easy!  Ok so i fly alot but this weekend thing is kinda of new to me.  Yeah yeah, London last week and Palma last month, but i usually do the 1-4 month deal.  So weekend in Milan, how many shoes do i need, how warm is really 25° (celcius), how cold is it when it rains (yes its meant to pour the WHOLE weekend) and how fashion do i need to be?  Dilemmas i know!

milano calling

OK so you guys were so good when it came to tips from London, that i thought i'd try this again.  Next stop? Milan.  Tomorrow.  So tell me about your favourite restaurant, the best place to party it up, where to drink the foamiest cappuchino, and the best shopping whether it be markets or outlets!  Come on and share, after all sharing is caring!

portobella road

Saturday in London, down Portobella Road, looked kind of like this.

kensington high

Morning from London!  This is our street.  Very english looking.  Last night with had drinks at The Met and now we're off to have a look at Katie's photo exhibition.  And hopefully grab a manifesto tote on the way!  Later Skater!

notting hill

OK so im off.  This may not be the most active blog this weekend but ill try to pop in once in awhile.  Tonights plans so far are dinner in Notting Hill with the old gang.  Oh yea and remember the reason for my 5am wakeup call the other day?  I cant believe it made the news, but then again i dont think you could call Aftonbladet a newspaper.  If i get the YSL manifesto, you'll definantly be hearing from me!  Ciao!

model hangout

NYFW started yesterday, 120 models, 74 fashion shows, and today on the runway Erin Wasson x RVCA are showing.

9/11 and I'm flying to London.  And i found out where i can get my hands on the limited YSL manifesto tomorrow!

Are you in one of the fashion capitals of the world and want to get your hands on one?  Find out how, HERE.

london baby

I'm heading over to London on friday afternoon for a long weekend and catch up with a bunch of my bangkok favourites.  I need your best London tips!  Haven't been there for about 5 years so i have no clue whatsoever.  Best café? Secondhand shop? Market? Resturant?  Anything goes!  But would appreciate details on vintage shops the most!  So hit me!

globetrotter

So i just purchased a ticket to London.  The problem? Well i fly in on september 11th (scary date to begin with) and fly home early monday morning the 14th.  Nice you reckon?  Well three days later, which would mean september the 17th i fly to Milano.  It would seem money growns on trees around my district.  Not the case.  But i do feel like a globetrotter none the less.  Reason for London? My bestest Katie has her final photography exhibition.  Reason for Milano? Why the hell not?  And yes alot of bottles of wine were involved in the purchase of that ticket.  Me and Karin shall have an awesome time!  Christiane Here I Come (Finally)!!

pack a backpack

There are alot of trips planned ahead for me.  I've decided this long weekend thing is my kinda of thing.  First Palma de Mallorca, last weekend Öland, in a month Milano with this lady, in October Warszawa, and hopefully hopefully september 11th-14th London.  That means i'll be back in sthlm for 3 days until its time to pack my bag for Milano.  Oh and the backpack is from Lindex, very wang and  much nicer than Gina Tricots i reckon.

once in a lifetime

Bellisima will be on wedding vacation this weekend.

No it's not my time yet, but one of my favorite girls!  Pray the sun shines.
