SWEDISH retail brand, Lindex, is doing a collaberation with Narcisco Rodriguez come fall. Rodriguez is known for his tailored, feminine, and beautiful creations. He was educated at Parson's in N:Y and has worked for Donna Karen, Calvin Klein and as head designer at Cerruti.
Rodriguez will be designing the Pink Collection with 10% of the proceeds going to Breast Cancer Research. The collection will be available in all Lindex Stores in Sweden, Norway and Finland starting October 1st.

H&M F/W 2010 - preview
I HAD THE PRIVILAGE of sneaking a peak at H&M's fall collection this afternoon, why you'll find out in about a week. And what can i say? I want it all! And rather now than later. But alot of the above will be available in stores come July, the rest around week 33-37 (meaning mid August-September). I love the classic dressy look that oozes Celine, Chloé and even hints of Givenchy. My favourite as I'm sure no one has forseen is that fantastic beige/camel leather jacket. I had to try it on, will show you pics of that later. More pics to come so stay tuned.

THOSE of you who watch the news, read the paper, follow twitter, won't have forseen the destruction thats been caused to my hometown today. I am at a loss for words and amazed that a disagrement in opinions can lead to such destruction. I am not biased, I don't pick sides, I do my research and look at both sides of the story. But today they've gone too far. Where in Buddhism are we taught that its ok to hurt, harm, kill and steal? Karma is a mayor aspect of buddhism and I hope that these arsonist and rioters know it's coming their way. How does burning down nearly 30 landmarks prove your point? What about your fellow countrymen? Their jobs? Their businesses? Their struggle? All you've preached for these past 2 months is 'elections, elections', your issues are so much deeper than that, lets begin with a new social reform and education! This is terrorism, and the problem lies in your unwillingness to realize this.

HERE YOU GO! Details from my new home! I love this apartement. It's far from done, well especially the terrace, we have 25 square meters to fill up out there so we have to make our way to Ikea and get some outdoor furnishings. B-friend keeps talking about getting one of those wooden jacuzzi tubs, you know the ones you fire up underneath? I'm unsure. Oh and yes, elephants are reoccuring in my interiors.

WORKING and packing down my whole life in boxes, leaves little time for blog action. But tomorrow is the final day, the moving truck comes at 10am, and then all thats left is the unpacking (!).
Last night was our last stylist lesson, so now I'm officially a Stylist. I got 37/40 on the final exam, kudos to me! Thursday's wont be the same now without school but it feels good to get out there and start working, and i got some projects lined up. God this got personal now.

WITH ELEPHANTS. Those of you who follow this blog, know about my obsession with elephants, and if you know that you would likely be aware of my admiration towards E-bay. Put two and two together (and Richard Avedon on the side) you get what I'm holding in my hand. Fantastic photograph shot by Richard Avedon in 1955 of Dovima at the circus. Dovima was a model in the fifties, scouted on the streets of New York, and here she wears the first dress that Yves Saint Laurent designed for Dior. It's the second piece of interior i've bought for our new apartement and alas is so far the best :)

FOUND this camel coat from Kookaï when i cleaned out the basement on Saturday. And i do believe its yours Hanna? I remember when i borrowed it for a job interview five years ago. It was early spring and freezing, well atleast for me, and i didn't have any winter clothes as i'd just moved back from Melbourne. Fortunantly it didn't land me the job, otherwise i'd been working as a receptionist and i probably wouldn't have met my fantastic boyfriend. So now i have my coat set for fall, Hanna holler when you want it back. And please come home from San Francisco soon, today the weather was perfect for rosé at Lisa på Torget, the only thing missing was you.

VINTAGE. Got this today. It was just hanging there, at Myrornas Skanstull (a really shabby thirft store), 300SEK and it was mine! I've been looking for a cobalt blue blazer for awhile. And the gold buttons make it oh so perfect. Can you tell how lyrical I am over this? This Monday just got a whole lot better.

THAILAND. My sister is there right now, at our beautiful villa. She was supposed to come home eight days ago, but due to the ash she had to stay put. Next available flight turned out to be May 3rd. I don't even think i have to write that I'm jealous. I miss my saltwater pool, my princess bed, the sound of waves, the buzz of mosquitos, the humidity, my kitten mimmi (who's not a kitten anymore) and of course my fantastic mama and daddy!

NEW RINGS! Picked up a pack of 5 rings at H&M when i bought the coat. Five rings for 39.50 SEK. Now thats a deal!
I gave two away however, so the three on my middle finger are part of the pack. One elephant ring, one with a peacock feather band, and one simple gold band.
The two on my ringfinger, are gifts, the lower one is a double gold band from Cartier and the givenchy pattern is vintage.

VOGUE MEXICO. This is beautiful, simple and clean and i love the use of the sea as the background. Dutch Dewi Driegen looks absolutley stunning, and who would have guessed shes a quarter Indonesian from these shots or rather at all? Cool. I love people with mixed races, there something about it that so fascinating to me.

I want to dress in patterns, colors and prints. Not so much the nude, beige and earthy tones, i think i may have gotten my fair share of that already. Bring on the colors (!), or maybe it's this editorial that's left its influential mark on me. Either way I'm staying away from blacks & greys.

I started the morning with a walk around my hood, stopped by my sisters for a coffee on the terrace and payed her bills (Yep, shes stuck in Thailand, for another two weeks due to Eyjafjallajokull, oh well guess you could be stuck in worse places.) ADVENTURE. It's been a couple of months now since I've was abroad and i haven't spent this great a part of winter in Stockholm for years. My new years commitment this year was to visit 5 new countries 2010. I've done one so far. So i better speed it up. I'd love some sun and warm climate, but what I'm really curious about is an adventure trip. I wanna trek in a jungle, do adventure sports, travel down a river by boat, see fasinating animals and reptiles. And a new cultures. So for now, i'm competing here.

For you international readers, you won't have a clue what I'm on about but it's this swedish sitcom based on this area of stockholm where i grew up before i moved to Thailand at the age of 8. LAUGHTER IS THE BEST MEDICINE! Picture from the weekend before last when i had to off my bestest here. Johannes and I have known each other since we were 13. We grew up in Thailand together, he now lives in Germany. Before he came to visit, we hadn't seen each other for 7 (!) years. But it was as if time had stood still, besides the fact that we're a little older, have jobs, and no longer spend weekends drinking cheap thai whiskey and weekday afternoons at Studio 22 playing pool instead of studying for our IB exams. Friends like him are worth more than all the Sangsom Buckets and Moo Ping in Thailand! (And i really love my sangsom and moo ping!)

Needless to say i was devestated. I mean they're perfection! They feel like the pair of shoes i've been searching for years to find! So as you all know E-bay is my best friend (it may not be reciprocal) and there they were, and I even managed to bargain. Yes you can do that sometimes on E-bay! ZAC POSEN FOR TARGET hits stores across the US on April 25th. Even though i'm tired as hell of collaborations, there are a few key peices here that fell right in time. The Hawaii shirt, the maxi floral dress, the metallic bralets and the red leather jacket! My favourite though, and the one item that will keep me on E-bay on the day of release is the yellow rain coat! It feels like it's something i could really use come Swedish (rainy!) summer!

FUN-TASTIC WEEKEND. Styling at Körslaget was so much fun, its like one big happy family over there, and the 13 hour work day passed by in what felt like 3 hours. I came out of there with a whole new perspective on when it comes to working with Television, I've always been so sure that editorials and magazines is the branch i wanna place myself in but with tv its a whole different rush. And all the fantastic people involved in a production as this! And after a long fun filled day i put my best heels on (ok i borrowed from costume) and went out and shaked my boot-ay for another 4 hours! Life is so good right now.
Helene gave us easter eggs as well how cute isn't that? She's just the best, i think.

time of my life
BEST WEEKEND! I've had the most fantastic time the past couple of days. Not only have i had a great birthday bash with all my friends and loved ones at Berns Salonger, my best friends from Thailand flew all the way here for me, and to top it off, who walked in at my party and surprised me all the way from Bangkok if not my parents!
Just like that, for 3 days, just for me. I feel so blessed!
I got great presents that all felt like they we're given with thought. To sum it all up, i am lucky to have such fabulous friends and family! Thank you all for making this the best weekend of my life. I love you all! ♥

MORNING! I'm busy living life at the moment, hence the lack of blog updates. Yesterday we visited Acne amongst things, where Katie got this fantastic dress. I got a great skirt from Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair, at their pop-up outlet next to my apartement (Astoria Nybrogatan- go go go!) On today's schedule, The Nordic Museum for 300 years of Fashion Power and Seafood Platter at Sturehof for lunch! Today's gonna be a good day!

THRIFTED this fantastic golden, sheer, beige blouse from the Red Cross the other day for 50SEK. It's silky soft. And is almost long enough to wear with thin dotted stockings, but only just so i think i'll pair it with hotpants. Oh yes the comeback of the hotpants. Tuck in part of the front. It's perfect in every way. With my chunky Michael Kors they will be the perfect couple!

THE FLEA MARKET yesterday was fantastic, my trash generated 2200 SEK in my wallet. Why i thank ya'll! And amongst someone else's trash i found this slightly fugly shirt, more precisely in Sara's trash or her moms, from the lovely eighties i'm guessing. And the best part (besides that it was free!), has to be the brand name, get ready for it Bend Over! How fantastic isn't that?!

*Elephantastic = A word used to describe something so awesome, that the word fantastic just isn't enough. Can also be used to refer to very large objects/things that are really cool.
